Vacancy – IFA Administrator

The company

Robertson Baxter is a financial planning firm based in Shepley, Huddersfield and was founded by our CEO Greg Robertson and our MD Stephen Baxter in 2007. The business has grown considerably since then and we now have a team of 17 staff who look after more than a hundred client groups, comprised of high-net worth individuals, families, trusts and charities. Our continued growth means we now have a vacancy for an IFA Administrator and we are looking for the right person to join our team. The position is a full-time permanent one, subject to satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period.

About you

The successful individual will be part of the Client Services team, reporting directly to Helen Morgan, Client Services Manager. It is essential that you have previous experience in IFA administration as this is a specialist area.

You will be a good match for this role if you:

  • produce quality work and provide quality service to clients and colleagues
  • are a do-er and like to be busy – it is never quiet!
  • enjoy IFA administration work and completing a variety of tasks – from basic to complex, ad-hoc to routine
  • can work independently without close supervision
  • are exceptionally organised and can manage yourself to meet a range of multiple deadlines
  • enjoy a challenge and continually learning due to the complex nature of the work
  • pay close attention to detail and work to high standards
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • demonstrate competencies which align with our vision of excellence and associated values and are a good fit for our culture i.e. you are a nice person, a team-player (no egos allowed!) who cares and works hard to produce the best possible results
  • are ready to work at a very high level of IFA administration, which also includes elements of what paraplanners might typically do
